This fantastic location allows parties to explore the treasures of both counties with great ease being only a 20 minute drive to the sandy beaches on the north coast including the excellent surfing beach of Widemouth and several small sandy coves around the seaside town of Bude with its shops pubs and restaurants (approximately 8 miles). The market town of Holsworthy is 3 miles from Higher Hopworthy offering traditional countryside shops cafes and pubs. A popular 18 hole golf course is situated a few miles away and many family attractions are well worth a visit including The Milky Way. Riding fishing and the coastal footpaths are also close by. You are welcome to enjoy the 140 acres of farmland with a large pond and free fishing. The whole family can enjoy exploring the countryside and viewing various species of wildlife. The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 four-poster double (with french doors to the patio area) and 1 twin bedroom which is situated down a few steps. Bathroom: also down a few steps family size with shower over bath and WC. Lounge: situated up a few steps and has a large flatscreen TV/DVD and Freeview. Kitchen/diner: spacious area offers a large farmhouse pine dining table electric cooker microwave fridge freezer dishwasher and a washer/dryer. Amenities: private off-road parking for 2 cars bed linen towels electric central heating and Wi-Fi included. Regret no smoking regret no pets. Outside: private patio and lawn with seating and BBQ. Location: pub 3 miles and shop 3 miles beach approximately 8 miles.

North Cornwall
Wilder and more rugged than the south of the county, North Cornwall is a land of
tall headlands, sandy beaches and empty moorland – yours to explore from one of
our holiday cottages in North Cornwall. The busy resort of Newquay is a major attraction,
with its glorious beaches and fantastic conditions for surfers. Nearby Perranporth
also boasts some fantastic beaches, perfect for sun-lovers. You’ll find many more
lovely beaches, like those at Bude for example, waiting for you on one of our North
Cornwall cottage holidays. This part of Cornwall has become a bit of a mecca for
food lovers too. Rick Stein has put Padstow on the map and more chefs, including
Jamie Oliver, are joining him, attracted by the quality of the ingredients available
locally. Then there is St. Ives, long a haunt of artists drawn here by the wonderful
light and inspiring scenery. A cottage holiday in North Cornwall puts you in touch
with history from ancient celtic times to the days of the smugglers. Tintagel Castle,
rumoured to be the birthplace of King Arthur, sits high on a cliff and still has
a strange air of mystery about it.
South Cornwall
Wonderful scenery, a mild climate, sparkling blue seas and charming seaside villages
make South Cornwall a firm favourite for cottage holidays whatever the season. And
we have a fabulous choice of holiday cottages in South Cornwall from which to make
the most of this lovely part of the country. The Cornish Riviera takes in some of
South Cornwall’s most popular resorts and many of our holiday cottages in South
Cornwall are located nearby. Picturesque Fowey is a haven for sailors, while the
Roseland Peninsula is a noted beauty spot. Mevagissey, St. Mawes and St. Just are
all well worth a visit. Not to be missed is the Eden Project, a fascinating recreation
of different biospheres, featuring a wide variety of exotic plantlife. You should
also make time for a trip to atmospheric St. Michael’s Mount and on to Land’s End,
the most westerly point in England. The county town of Truro has a lovely cathedral
and some excellent shopping opportunities, while Penzance is a bustling resort,
famed for its warm weather and sub-tropical plants. And do make sure you sample
the pasties, saffron cake and clotted cream – all local delicacies, – during your
cottage holiday.
